Q. Can children or pets attend the festival?
A. Without exception, no children or pets are allowed to attend any Classic event. This is an adult-only, over-21 festival; IDs will be required to verify age and all adults will be clearly marked as attendees and participants. This includes infants in strollers or backpacks, which will not be allowed either.
Q. How many wines will there be?
A. Each event features different wines with over 500 wine, beer and spirit samples during The Classic.
Q. Can I purchase wine at the festival?
A. Utah law prohibits the sale of wine at the festival. However, please visit the state wine stores to purchase your favorite wines and, if necessary, special order. Hold onto your Festival Guide so you have a list of your personal favorites.
Q. Will there be food?
A. Ample food will be provided at the Thursday Wine on the Mountain Kickoff Celebration. The Park City Stroll will feature bite-size samplings to give you a taste of where you want to eat that night. The idea is to leave you wanting more so you will visit one of these fine restaurants that weekend. Be sure to make your reservations. The Saturday Toast of Park City Grand Tasting will have small bites from various local restaurants. It is enough to complement your wine drinking and provide you a good taste of Park City.
Q. I'm from out of town. Where should I stay?
A. Check out current offers from our lodging partners on our website.
Q. Where is will-call?
A. Will-call will be located at the entrance to each event and will be available one hour prior to the events. Will-call for the Stroll of Park City will be on the Kimball Arts Center deck.
Q. Can I purchase tickets anywhere other than online?
A. At this time tickets can only be purchased online. In the past we have offered walk-up sales, but last year's event(s) sold out and we anticipate the same in 2010 - so online is the best option. You can also order by phone: (877)328-2783.
Q. Can you really walk around with a glass of wine during the Park City Stroll?
A. No. You must empty (consume or dump) your wine glass before you leave one stroll area to reach another. Wine cannot leave the grounds of any event.
Q. How much goes to the non-profit beneficiaries?
A. We have raised over $100,000 for our non-profit partners. Five percent of all ticket sales and 100% of Auction sales go to our non-profit partners.
Q. What will the live entertainment be?
A. Depending upon the event, the live entertainment can vary from live music, live auctions and cooking demos.
Q. Where are the events being held?
A. Click here.
Q. Where should I park?
A. For events located at the Canyons, there is ample parking located at the parking areas near the hotel. For the Park City Stroll, there is public parking available on the streets downtown and in parking lots. Hotel guests should consider using the hotel's shuttle service to get downtown.
Q. Is there a designated driver program or a non-drinking ticket?
A. Yes. These tickets are discounted, attendees will receive different credentials and no wine glass for the event. Please call our offices to get these tickets: (877)328-2783.
Q. What if I buy tickets and can't come to the event?
A. We are sorry. Just like a sporting event, there are no refunds.
Q. What if there is inclement weather?
A. We will do our best to run the event as planned. Depending upon the day, we may push the event back an hour due to bad weather. However, the event will most likely be held, rain or shine, just like a concert. The Utah outdoors can be unpredictable in the summer so dress accordingly.
Q. Where do I pick up my seminar tickets?
A. If you order seminar tickets more than two weeks in advance of the event(s), we will mail them to you. If you purchase tickets less than two weeks in advance, you can pick them up at will-call.
Q. What if my question is still not answered?
A. Call us at the office, we are happy to help (877)328-2783.
